Who We Are
Speak Out Against Hate (SOAH) will insist that those in positions to execute policies and regulations speak out and develop strategies for legislation and policies to prevent this hateful and potentially destructive behavior. SOAH’s goal is to make “No hate here” a reality in Delaware. All who are against hate are welcome to join SOAH.
What We Do
SOAH members are actively meeting and working with public facing officials, business leaders, elected officials, faith leaders, school and youth leaders and police leaders, encouraging them to speak to their communities about the need to confront the rise in hatred. All Action Groups are comprised of concerned citizens as they continue to drive the Mission of SOAH forward.
A Message from State Senator Russ Huxtable
“When left unchecked, hate can consume communities, divide nations, and undermine our sense of justice.
If we hope to build a vibrant and inclusive state for our children and grandchildren, we need to join together to reject hatred based on race, religion, sexual orientation and politics. That’s why I was proud to invite Speak Out Against Hate – SOAH to the Senate floor yesterday. Formed by a group of concerned citizens working with the Southern Alliance for Racial Justice and members of the Seaside Jewish Community’s Social Justice Committee, this organization is working to bring awareness to the rising tide of hate and combat its normalization here in Delaware.
Thank you to these brave neighbors for working as a force of good to bring peace, love and understanding to our communities.”
